“EURO CUP” QUARTER FINAL PENALTY PAIN!

Recently back from a most successful trip to Dortmund in Germany where players from Jamie Shore Soccer International took part in the ‘Euro Cup’ an international 5 a side football tournament.

The Germany trip to Langenbochum, a cold climate in a small sleepy village came alive this weekend hosting around 30 of Europe’s strongest Football Clubs. Jamie Shore’s Elite U’11 squad were rubbing shoulders with Europe’s strongest Clubs from Germany, Austria and the France.

JSSI’s certainly made an impact, holding their own against two Bundesliga teams in the group stages losing only one game to the resulting tournament winners FC Köln 1-0 in front of 300 cheering Crowd. In the group stages, JSSi broke Bundesliga ‘FSV Mainz’ hearts by Winning 2-0 which was enough to see them through to the quarter finals of the Tournament only to lose on Penalties against Bundesliga ‘Byern Leverkussen’ after a thrilling 2-2 draw at full time.

“The astounding results are a reflection of their overall discipline and behaviour – Many Bundesliga Clubs went out in the group stages! That’s the level we were playing at & credit to our boys’’.

“An educational visit to an Underground Cole mine/museum the next day was the only time the boys ever looked in over their heads!” says Jamie.
