Almondsbury Town FC Youth V's Boldmere
Due to 3 players dropping out last minute and two injuries, one
in the warm up and one in the last 10 minutes, this was always going
to be a very challenging game against a team placed 8th in the Junior
Premier League.
Almondsbury maintained possession of the ball in spells and the
performance of U13 players, Asa Cox, Jack Hamblett, Jordan Ballinger
and Joe Thomas was the most pleasing part of the game.
The U13 players enjoyed playing amongst the older, stronger and
quicker boys. "The result does not bother me - its the way
we try to play football and promote and stretch the best 'Technical'
players in the Academy".
"lets get the better younger players in particular out of
their comfort
zone!".
I hear that one spectator commented on "why we dont use bigger
players
from the developement centre"?
The answer to that is - to achieve what?. If I wanted to have a
fight with
Boldmere then maybe this would be the answer.
JSSi will now bring in U11 players to play in the remaining 3 U12
games now that most of our U11 players are available since being
knocked out the cup representing South Glos.
This will have, or has had, a domino effect up through the age groups.
Well done to all parents and players for their efforts - particularly
with so many club, county and school games/activity's at present!
Please email if any questions to parents@jamieshore.co.uk.
I am always happy to answer.
