Goldsmith Testimonial

I started playing football when I was just 5 years old. Myself and my
brother both player for Patchway befor moving to Thornbury.

I stayed with them for 6 years because I enjoyed my time with so much.

At the age of ten I was invited for a trial with Jamie Shore Soccer
international where the JSSi staff all helped me progress my football very
quickly.

A combination of really good and enjoyable sessions and a lot of hard work helped me move forward.

I had soon made my way into the Elite academy, playing regular games
against some of England’s top clubs like West Bromwich Albion, Birmingham City, Plymouth Argyle and Cardiff City.

This was my opportunity to be seen by many different scouts from many
different clubs.

As I had wished, we were approached by a few clubs asking me to speak with them about a possible contract.

I chose WBA because of their great facilities and brilliant coaching. I was proud to be asked to sign for a club of such calibre and with great resources like they have.

I always dreamed of playing for a Premiership club and hopefully they will
be again soon.

The game I now play is much faster with less time on the ball and less
opportunity to score goals, although I do try to take them when the chance comes along.

It’s tough getting to know all the lads at WBA but a great challenge at
the same time. We have already played in a tournament in Milan which makes all the travelling to training worth while.

I obviously miss all the players and staff at Almondsbury Town and my
local club Stoke Lane but there comes a time when you have to move on.
