Ipswich Town F.C Away

Jssi academy U14/15 travelled to another football league Academy in beautiful wheather and facilities to suit.

In the 1st 20 mins JSSi struggled to maintain possession in due to a number of factors - the journey being one of them. Sloppy technique and concentration gifted Ipswich the lead.

In the 2nd 20 mins JSSi managed to maintain possession as a result of hard work & players taking responsability in uncomfortable areas of the pitch being brave and unafraid to make mistakes.

In the 3rd 20 mins JSSi dominated possession as Ipswich began to buckle under pressure. Good movement, accurate and calculated passing troubled Ipswich until Liam Andrews struck 20yards from goal to make it 1-1.

The 4th 20 mins saw JSSi score a second which was well deserved. Liam
Andrews scored once again as JSSi dominated possession and on fought, out passed and out classed Ipswich.

An unlucky rebound from midfield allowed the ball to wrong foot our defender only to find that a cross from the dead ball line was hung up back post for a clinical finish by the lively Ipswich player to volley home.

Pressure in the dying minutes nearly paid off with ryan batten striking inches past the post from 20yards out with a low drive.

Hitting Ipswich underside of the bare and a heat attempted volley from Egan that went inches over the bar let Ipswich off the hook - intill the next time!

Well done all
