Joe Steedman Age 8 ‘Norhalne Cup 2008’

JSSi travelled 24 hours on a bus to Denmark to compete in ‘Norhalne Cup’ one of Europe’s biggest youth football tournaments.

Seven days of football is physically and emotionally draining for the most football enthusiasts.

JSSi’s youngest player, Joe Steedman aged just 8 from Patchway, however proved to the travelling party of 57 players that he could not only compete against players 2-3 years older than him but he could go a whole week without the assistance of his coach/team leader with packing, unpacking, timekeeping and general ability to organise himself on a day to day basis.

Joe’s living area was clean & tidy with his bed made and clothes folded neatly in his suit case which was perfectly positioned at the end of his bed.

We often used Joe as an example before players and parents to exhibit his ability to prove that emotional stability can be achieved at such a young age.

All JSSi staff would like to congratulate Joe’s mother & father for raising such a mature and balanced young boy.

Well done Joe, you were a credit to everyone especially yourself!
