Scaffold Gantry and recording games, recreate scenario for technical and tactical feedback.... PDF Print E-mail

We aim to have a visual analysis program in place before Christmas 2011. JSSi Academy will record Junior Premier League games and then burn the game onto a disc for players to watch.

Visual analysis won Jamie the FA Youth Cup game vs. Birmingham City in January 2011, when a centre midfield player did not realise his defensive positioning that meant his defence was exposed in from and in behind. This was corrected using video footage, at half time, to highlight Birmingham City's attacking entries. This provided the midfield player with a clear visual duty for the next 45 minutes - it worked, winning 3-2.

We believe that the assistance of visual analysis will develop players perception of their roles and what is expected of them. Jamie said "Our syllabus and playing style requires capable, clever and confident players from back to front therefore players will see and understand our set piece syllabus in motion.

Jamie believes that this will benefit everyone within the Academy. Jamie commented how it will benefit everyone "We will provide feedback to the group or an individual player by recreating the scenario for tactical and technical feedback. We will help players develop an understanding of when, where to receive the ball. Players will see themselves on, around and away from the ball in relation to shape".

Clifton College have given permission to construct a 8-10 meter high scaffold gantry. This is a very exciting addition to the program and will prove to be a great benefit to players development.

Our Aim is quite simply, we want to bridge the huge gap that currently exists between grass-roots football and academy football.
We strive to give all our players more opportunities and greater experiences designed to help them progress on and off the pitch.
